Second Wave
In April of 2024, Georgian Parliament brought back the discussions about the analogue of the Russian “foreign agents” law. In May, they approved it within third hearing. Protests have been going on for more than a month now.The massive rallies against the bill are some of the largest protests since Georgia became independent in 1991. Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili vetoed the controversial bill, however the ruling party overrode presidential Veto on 28th of May. This Law might cause the end of Georgias' Europian future. Fight continues.
